Buccaneers interview Vikings coach Keenan McCardell

According to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, the Buccaneers will have an interview with Keenan McCardell,

the Vikings' receivers coach, for the role of offensive coordinator.

McCardell played with the Bucs from 2002 to 2003, spending two of his 17 NFL seasons with them.

In 2003, he had his second of two Pro Bowl seasons,

hauling in 84 passes for 1,174 yards and eight touchdowns.

In the Buccaneers' triumph in Super Bowl XXXVII, he caught two touchdown passes.

McCardell, 53, started his coaching career in 2010 as Washington's wide receivers coach.

From 2017 to 2020, he served in the same capacity with Jacksonville, another one of his previous NFL clubs.

Before the 2021 season, he assumed his present post in Minnesota.
